Doll Surgery

Adding a cecostomy tube to an 18 inch doll

My six year old friend, Jubi, is heading into her 10th surgery. This time, she's having a cecostomy tube placed in her tummy and attached to her intestine. Her mom asked me to do a similar procedure on a doll so Jubie will have a doll just like her. Check out this video showing you how I did it.

Hirschsprung's Disease is a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool. The condition is present at birth as a result of missing nerve cells in the muscles of the baby's colon. The cecostomy tube procedure is to help manage the condition.
